Denver is expecting its coldest temperatures in nearly a year

The second half of our snowy and cold winter is just around the corner. The snow is coming and the freezing temperatures will sink like a rock by Wednesday morning.

Indeed, for many in Denver and eastern Colorado are headed for their coldest low temperatures in nearly a year. The forecast low for Denver is expected to fall to just under 7 degrees.

The last time the Mile High City was in this neighborhood was February 17, 2024, when lows fell to 7 degrees above zero at Denver International Airport 11 months ago.

The snowfall total in our Tuesday morning snowburst was by no means the largest ever, but it was just enough to make the morning commute a difficult event in the Front Range and greater Denver area.

Snowfall amounts ranged from 1 to 5 inches across the region.
