The opening scene of “The Vanishing” was scored by Beastie Boys

If Season 1 of Disney+ Goose flesh Gave you goosebumps, there’s a lot more on the way. The second season titled Goosebumps: The Disappearancearrives this week and billboard gives an exclusive first look at the full opening scene.

In the one-minute flashback clip, set in Brooklyn in 1994, a group of teenagers are seen entering a mysterious underground tunnel during Beastie Boys’ “Pass the Mic” – the lead single from the New York rap legends’ album from 1992 Check your head – accompanies the adventure. When one of the teens asks what they’re getting into, the boy leading the pack simply replies, “You’ll see.” From there, the scene ends and the show’s title card appears.

According to the series description, the second season of the series, based on the popular RL Stine children’s horror books, follows fraternal twins Devin and Cece (played by Sam McCarthy and Jayden Bartels) as they adjust to life alongside their recently divorced father Anthony (David Schwimmer) get used to it. . “When the duo discovers a threat, they quickly realize there are dark secrets hidden beneath it, triggering a chain of events that uncover a deep secret. As they venture into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends – Alex, CJ and Frankie – become entangled in the chilling story of four teenagers who mysteriously disappeared in 1994,” the description continues.

Manish Raval and Tom Wolfe are the musical directors of the show, which is known for mixing hits from different eras as the timeline spans from flashbacks in 1994 to the present day. This season will feature retro songs like “Pass the Mic,” along with current tracks like “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter, “FE!N” by Travis Scott and “Girl, so confusing” by Charli XCX.
