Maintenance crews reflect on snowstorm and subsequent cleanup | City News

Olathe snow plow crews are now on their fourth day of cleanup after the recent snowstorm and 13 inches of snowfall. The clearance work is expected to be completed on Monday around 7:30 p.m.

The cleanup is taking the longest in recent history, according to several city maintenance department employees, requiring more than 140 employees to work round-the-clock shifts to complete the cleanup. Tanner Wintrode, one of the city’s snowplow drivers, said the deep snow and near-zero temperatures made for longer cleanup efforts.
