Sunny day like wind, cold lightness

Video: Sunny day, wind and cold subside

RIGHT? YES. Well, we have a pretty nice day ahead of us considering it’s been so cold and windy all week. THESE WILL BE WITHDRAWN TODAY. AND THAT’S WHAT YOU ASSOCIATE WITH SUNSHINE. IT WILL FEEL MUCH BETTER TO BE OUTSIDE TODAY. A LITTLE LIGHT SNOW IS COMING ON SATURDAY. And then the dry, cold pattern will reoccur next week. YOU CAN NOW SEE HOW CLEAR IT IS OUT THERE. What we’re watching is a storm over the Deep South. You can see the rain turning into ice along the Gulf Coast, and then you get into the snow in these darker shades of blue, indicating some heavier snow is moving into Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and into Georgia. So it’s a storm that will once again bring us quite a bit of snow to the Deep South. WE WILL SEE IMPROVEMENTS TODAY BECAUSE THE HIGH PRESSURE IS INTERNAL. HERE YOU CAN SEE THE SNOW BANDS. THEY ARE REALLY FOCUSED ON OUR SOUTH CAROLINA WHICH WILL RECEIVE SOMETHING INCREASE SNOW. We’re kind of removed from that and we’ll just see a few patchy bright areas of snow and snow showers on Saturday. Temperatures are currently in the 20s. The wind makes it feel a little colder. It’s cool in WORCESTER. Otherwise it feels like teenagers this morning. The wind is still a bit gusty, but as mentioned the wind will die down as the weather continues to get stronger. So the wind dies down today and look ahead to your weekend. Lighter winds will definitely feel a difference here as wind speeds will be closer to 15 mph than they were in 2030. With these gusts above that. SO IMPROVEMENTS IN THE WIND DEPARTMENT TODAY, LOTS OF SUNSHINE UNTIL NOON. We are above freezing. WE HAVEN’T DONE THIS ALL WEEK. WE WILL CONTINUE CLIMBING INTO THE UPPER 30S, AND MANY SPOTS COULD ACTUALLY TOUCH THE 40S TODAY, IN SOME SPOTS SOUTH OF CITY. So a nice afternoon on tap. LOTS OF SUN SHINE UNTIL SUNSET, AND AFTER THE SUN SETS SOME CLOUDS WILL APPEAR HERE. And note that we will hold off the snow until sunrise tomorrow. SO THE SNOW WILL MOVE INWARDS. TONIGHT the clouds are increasing. WE’RE KEEPING IT IN THE 20’S AND THE SNOW WILL FILL IN TOMORROW. IN THE MORNING. It lasts for about the first half of the day and then the sky is just cloudy and our temperatures are near and just above the freezing mark. I think it will snow because it falls lightly, and although it will snow for a large portion of the day, it won’t really accumulate much. WE NEVER GET INTO REALLY HEAVY SNOW. Patchy light snowfall may be observed forming until 8:00 a.m. and then generally continuing until midday. IT STARTS DOWNWARDS AND WE CAN SEE AN ADDITIONAL SNOW SHOWER ON THE CAPE AROUND SUNSET AND THEN IT WILL END. So we’re talking about an inch of snow covering us. Ultimately, there might be a few spots that are a little closer to two inches. AND IF YOU ARE IN THE NORTHERN PART OF ESSEX COUNTY, MERRIMACK VALLEY, SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND THE BERKSHIRES, THERE MAY BE SOME PLACES THAT ARE A LITTLE OVER TWO INCHES CLOSER TO THREE INCHES. But overall, the bulk of this storm will miss us, and it will get brighter behind it on Sunday. SO SUNDAY WILL BE THE BRIGHTER DAY OF THE WEEKEND. AND NOTE THAT TEMPERATURES ARE ALSO NEAR FREEZING AND ABOVE FREEZING. A great weekend to maybe think about heading north and skiing. YOU CAN SEE TEMPERATURES STAY IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 30’S UNTIL TUESDAY, THEN A FRONT WILL COME THROUGH, MAYBE SOME SNOW SHOWERS AND FURTHER AND WE’LL BE BACK INTO THE FREEZING MID-Middle OF NEXT WEEK. LIKE JEN SAID, THE WINTER FLAW. YES, THEY ARE, BUT HEY, THE WIND THAT CHOOSES TODAY IS GETTING WEAGER
