Gameday Updates: Blackhawks vs. Red Wings

Photo credit: Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Wings look to make it six wins in a row at home against the Chicago Blackhawks tonight. The Hawks come to town after a win over the Colorado Avalanche, where Petr Mrazek stood on his head and held the Avs to just one goal on 36 shots. Mrazek, a former Red Wing, will kick off tonight at Little Caesars Arena.

We’ll see a slightly different lineup than Todd McLellan tonight as he continues to tinker with his roster. McLellan gives Marco Kasper a look at the top line alongside Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond. I’m really excited to see how the young striker performs – he’s had excellent performances this year and is always a guy you can rely on to “run his ass off.”

With Jeff Petry out, Albert Johansson will be in the squad tonight. AlJo, like Kasper, has looked solid in his last few starts. Cam Talbot will start with Ville Husso as a replacement – Alex Lyon should be back shortly.
