Christian McCaffrey’s wife Olivia Culpo sends prayers as Pacific Palisades wildfires prompt mass evacuations in LA

As flames ravage the hillsides of Pacific Palisades, NFL running back Christian McCaffrey and his wife Olivia Culpo pray for the thousands affected by the Southern California wildfires. In an Instagram Story shared on Tuesday evening, Culpo wrote:

“I pray for everyone affected by these devastating fires. Thank you to the heroes who work tirelessly to protect our communities and wildlife.”

Christian reposted an image from the Los Angeles Times showing a firefighter standing in front of an inferno and captioned it with two praying emojis.

The devastating fire started near Piedra Morada Drive and had scorched over 2,900 acres by nightfall. 30,000 people have reportedly evacuated their homes and left abandoned vehicles on congested roads to flee. The fire was fueled by gusts of up to 160 km/h and was difficult for firefighters to contain.

Local officials declared the situation “life-threatening and destructive” and are urging residents in Pacific Palisades, Altadena, Pasadena and Sylmar to follow evacuation orders. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Meanwhile, the McCaffrey-Culpo household is located just a few miles from the disaster in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Nestled in the Encino neighborhood, their home is more than just a residence for them. Purchased in 2022, shortly before Christian McCaffrey’s move to the San Francisco 49ers, the decision to purchase her 5,366-square-foot property was about creating a space where her life could feel peaceful and grounded, like Olivia Culpo In a 2021 interview with Architectural, Digest said:

“I was living in the middle of Hollywood, in the middle of the hustle and bustle, and I realized that I really wanted something that felt more calming, almost like a refuge. A respite from the city.”

While the fire has not yet reached their surrounding areas, another outbreak, the Eaton Fire, has led to evacuations in communities in Altadena, La Canada Flintridge and parts of Glendale, forcing over 52,000 residents to leave their beloved homes behind.

According to Governor Gavin Newsom, more than 1,400 firefighters, officers and first responders are on duty.
