At this point, Fergie had already won five Premier League titles – and also the famous treble.

But he still had a lot to offer the Old Trafford faithful.

Fergie won eight more titles before retiring in 2013.

And despite United’s dismal form since his departure, they are still at the top when it comes to most games won, fewest games lost and their average points per game ratio.

Since the turn of the century, which also ushered in the new millennium, United have won 59.9 percent of their Premier League games.

Statistics from OLBG show that they have scored 20.6 percent of draws, meaning United have also only lost 19.5 percent.

This gives them an impressive points ratio of 2 per game, putting them ahead of second-placed Arsenal.

The Gunners have accumulated 1.95 points over the same period, with a similar loss ratio of 20 but a lower win ratio of 57.4.
