Frankfurt’s Marmoush and Manchester City: Is that a good fit?

The interest in Manchester City and Frankfurt’s top scorer Omar Marmoush raises questions. Also whether the Skyblues will make the next mistake in squad planning.

Pep Guardiola had exactly the right view of the Bees’ goal after Manchester City conceded a late 2-2 equalizer at Brentford on Tuesday: “We don’t have the guys in defensive midfield at the moment to defend those crosses.” What’s more: Brentford deserved this draw because they had repeatedly had opportunities in which the hosts were given space that would not have been offered with Rodri.

City doesn’t have a second six

But Rodri is hurt by the fact that he is irreplaceable, as has been well described. But the fact that no one comes close to it is because City simply doesn’t have a second regular six. But the expected signing of Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt will of course not correct this error in squad planning. But two more from the past.
