James Harden makes NBA history in Clippers vs. Nets

After defeating the Miami Heat on Monday night, the LA Clippers face the Brooklyn Nets for the first time this season on Wednesday. While Kawhi placed a minutes restriction on Leonard during his return, James Harden was ready to take over.

Harden has helped keep the Clippers in the playoff hunt with a 21-17 record, which currently puts them in first place in the Pacific Division. Harden and the Clippers faced criticism before the season began, and critics were quick to write the team off. Regardless of what critics have said, Harden has been a consistent force for LA and remained that way against the Nets.

In the first quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, Harden officially passed Dominique Wilkins and moved into 15th place on the NBA’s all-time points list. Harden scored his 26,669. Point and overtook Wilkins.

Although James Harden took a lot of criticism in the final years of his career, he was exactly what the Clippers needed. If LA still had Paul George instead of Harden, the results wouldn’t be the same.

Harden has steadily risen up the NBA’s scoring charts this season and it doesn’t look like he has any plans to slow down any time soon. This fact alone shows how great James Harden really is.
