Fortnite Godzilla x Kong event release date, time and how to defeat a Titan | Gaming | Entertainment

Fortnite developer Epic Games has confirmed plans to hold a special Godzilla x Kong in-game event.

Just days after releasing update 33.20, Epic Games has detailed the brand new crossover event, which will be available on PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android.

The Godzilla x Kong Titan Takedown event has a release date of January 17th. There is no official start time, but you can expect the festivities to begin around 2pm (GMT UK time).

As you can see from the trailer below, players may be able to wreak havoc and eliminate the enemy by transforming into Godzilla and using his unique powers.

To become a Titan, you must be the first player to discover a random portal and jump through it.

Epic explains more: “As of January 17th, there is a small chance that a portal will appear on the Battle Royale map.

“The first player to find it and jump through will emerge as the colossal titan Godzilla, who can roar to reveal nearby players, blow up others with a Mighty Stomp Attack, and devastate players and buildings with Heat Ray .”

To even the odds and give regular players a fighting chance, a number of powerful weapons and items will be available on the map.

These include the non-vaulted Rail Gun as well as the defensive Shield Bubble item.

According to Epic Games, the player who deals the most damage to Godzilla will receive the Godzilla Medallion and Burst Quad Launcher.

Battle Pass owners can complete quests to obtain the Godzilla Exo-Spine Back Bling, Crystal Fang Pickaxe, Mothra Glider, and Lil’ Godzilla Attack Emote. If you complete all quests you will unlock the Energized Godzilla style from Godzilla Evolved.

There will also be a selection of items in the shop, such as the Mechagodzilla and Kong Bundle, which includes the reactive Mechagodzilla outfit as well as the Proton Drill Pickaxe, Kong’s Battleaxe Pickaxe, the Proton Exo-Boosters Back Bling and the BEAST Armorplate Back includes Bling, Roar Power Wrap, Cybernetic Scream Wrap and BEAST Glove Emote.
