10 High Paying, Growing Jobs with Remote Hybrid Options

• Indeed has released its list of the best jobs of the year based on salary and other factors.
• The career site ranked the job list based on the share of job postings on its platform.
• The top 10 included civil engineers, lawyers and doctors.

Careers site Indeed has found that if you’re looking for a job as a veterinarian, civil engineer or civil engineer, 2025 could be your year.

Indeed has released a list of the best jobs for the year based on job posting growth, flexibility, and typical salary. To be included in the ranking, jobs had to have an average annual salary of at least $75,000, at least 5% of listings had to be hybrid or remote, and the number of job postings on Indeed had to increase by at least 20% between times December 2021 and last December.

“I think we see quite a bit of diversity on this list, and while they are more technical in nature or some require more specialized education and training, it’s not always a catch-all term,” said Gabrielle Davis, career trends expert at Indeed , said. “There are also typically different paths or different ways to approach some of these different fields if you’re either interested in getting into those fields or even making a career change.”

Indeed noted that healthcare and engineering remain the dominant sectors. According to job listings posted on the website, doctors had an average salary of $225,000 and demand for the position had increased.

“It kind of shows that the workforce needs to balance both deep technical knowledge and the ability to respond to changing societal needs,” Davis told Business Insider.

While job growth was strong in December, economists who spoke to Business Insider before that data was available say tech job seekers and others could struggle to find work this year.
