Cam Whitmore is under pressure for the Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets have a strong rotation, and that’s exactly what teams are hoping for when talking to rivals.

This sets up competition between players on the roster for playing time, and one person bouncing around the edges of the rotation is second-year pro Cam Whitmore.

That’s why ESPN writer Michael Wright called him the player under the most pressure for the Rockets.

“One of the most talented young players on Houston’s roster has a team-friendly contract that runs from 2026 to 2027 with salaries of $3.4 million, $3.5 million and $5.5 million. If Whitmore can find a way to contribute like this down the line, the Rockets should be in great shape.
