USC continues to contribute to coaching employees with CBS trainer Trovon Reed

During the assumption that the USC coaching team was used by Lincoln Rileys for 2025, the Trojans announced the hiring of Trovon Reed as cornerback trainers on Tuesday.

Since the NCAA eliminates the previous limit of 11 on-field coaches (head coach plus 10 assistants) last summer, the staff sizes are liquid.

The setting of Reed does not change for the USC defensive -backs trainer Doug Belk, who monitors and trains the entire secondary level. They will work together to develop the cornerbacks.

Reed spent Cornerback coach at UCF last season after working as a director of Player Relations at Auburn for several years.

“Trovon Reed is another fantastic addition to our employees,” said Riley in an explanation. “Reed is an up -and -coming star in our business and is a talented trainer with NFL player experience. He is an extraordinary recruitment agent who will certainly contribute to our promotion as a program. We look forward to welcoming him to USC.”

While he played for Reed last season, Redshirt Senior Mac McWilliams, a senior bowl invitee, with 32 duels, 6.5 duels against losses (including a sack), 2 passport separations, 1 intercept and 1 forced fumbling And by PFF, was the fourth highest cornerback of the Big 12th Senior Brandon Adams, another Senior Bowl Invitee, achieved 14 duels, including 1 TFL and band for a team leader 2 Ins with 2 PBus.

During his time in Auburn, Reed was very involved in recruitment and helped Auburn to sign the recruitment class No. 8 in the nation in 2024. The Tigers also recorded top 25 recruitment courses in 2022 and 2023.

Reed was a four-star top 50 recruit in the 2010 class from Thibodaux HS in Louisiana and was a member of the National Championship team at Auburn 2010. He helped the Tigers to win two seconds (2010 and 2013) to achieve another appearance in the National Title Game (2014). He spent most of his career at Wide Receiver before moving to Cornerback for his last season in 2014.

As an unusual free agent, Reed played from 2015 to 18 for several NFL teams, including the Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers.
