Alex Bregman reported reportedly in the 6-year contract offer from Toronto Blue Jays

Alex Bregman remains a free agent for three months in the MLB new season.

The 30-year-old third of Baseman is one of the best players on the market because he was over all winter. The trade in Houston Astros, Ryan, pressed on Sunday before the Chicago Cubs that they took the salary statement to make room for Bregman, but there has not been much movement since then.

The Bob Nightengale from USA Today went on Tuesday evening “Area 45 with Bijani and Creighton” to break where things stand between Bregman and the Astros. The six-year deal of $ 156 million that they offered him in December is still on the table, but at least one more free one is in the same stadium.

According to Nightengale, the Toronto Blue Jays Bregman are “still big” and also offered him a six -year contract. In contrast to the Boston Red Sox, who hesitated, this is in contrast to give Bregman a long -term deal.

However, the Astros do not seem to be intimidated by the pursuit of Blue Jays to Bregman, considering that Texas has no state income taxes. Bregman’s tax bill would be far higher in Toronto than in Houston, so that Nalengale would not feel the astros through an offer to Bregman worth less than $ 180 million.

Bregman and his agent Scott Boras apparently have an average annual salary of $ 30 million. Perhaps Toronto Houston could hit this magical number and place the ball in Bregmans.

Less than three weeks remain until the beginning of the spring training and the timeline, the Bregman, the Astros and Blue Jays have to negotiate.

Bregman won a golden glove in 2024 after he had beat his first three times as a finalist. He also met .260 with 26 Home Runs, 75 RBI, an ops .768 ops and 4.1 war a year.

Bregman Hit has between 2018 and 2019. 291 with an ops. In the last four seasons he has hit .262 with an ops of 0.795, an average of 22 home runs, 28 doubles, 80 RBI, two stolen bases and an annual war of 3.9 war.

If Bregman returns to Houston, the commercial acquisition Isaac Paredes could switch from the third basis to the second basis. Jose Altuve would hit the left field, which he recently admitted that he was ready.

If the Blue Jays exceed in Bregman competition, you would continue to stack an infield, the all-MLB First Baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., All-Star-Shortstop Bo Bichette and Gold Gloves, second Baseman Andrés Giménez.

The Red Sox and Detroit Tiger are also involved to different degrees. But when Bregman is dead when landing a long -term contract, Houston and Toronto seem to be his most likely landing sites.
