NJ school delayed openings for icy roads – Fri, January 31

The risk of some icy positions at the beginning of a rainy day on Friday caused some districts to delay the start of school.

The precipitation should rain for the entire state in the early hours of the morning, according to New Jersey 101.5 chief meteteetotologist Dan Zarrow. However, the floor and air can be cold enough at the beginning to support a winter mix in the north and west.

“The greatest concern is the freezing of rain – remember, this is liquid rain that freezes in contact with a cold surface and ensures a very slippery situation,” said Zarrow.

For Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties, winter weather advice from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Cold, then calm

Bags with gusty wind are possible in heavy rain bands on Friday afternoon, but the weather breastfeeds on the first weekend in February.

The sky should quickly clarify the sunshine on Saturday morning, with a cool breeze from the northwest.

The forecast high temperatures are in the lower 40s – quite typical for early February.
