First Class Awards at Cathay Pacific are very difficult to get, especially in the past five years. Covid restrictions restricted people’s ability to travel to Hong Kong, and when it opened again, the barely dripping cone of the First Class Editions between the USA and Hong Kong was quite eliminated.

Therefore, it is such a pleasant surprise to provide so much data in summer. In July there is a handful of First Class Awards between New York and Hong Kong, with a much larger selection of available data between Los Angeles and Hong Kong in both directions in June and especially in July.

To mention unnecessarily that this type of availability will probably not take long, and therefore you would like to book as soon as possible if you are interested. The costs are 125,000 Cathay Pacific Asia miles per route and only seems to be bookable with Asia miles and not by partners. Asia Miles is a transfer partner of American Express membership premiums. However, it should be noted that Amex and Capital Man can take 24 hours before the points are displayed while Citi and Bilt should be immediately.
