Max Strus brings the childhood dream with the opening bowl to live the Land Charity event in Cleveland

Cleveland, Ohio – a few moments in life close the circle, as if fate is leading the way. For Max Strus there was one of these moments on Monday evening.

As a child from the south side of Chicago, he was a special event every year. His uncle, who died in 2017, worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield and visited a Chicago Bears Accountability Bowling event through him.

Strus had always dreamed of having a similar event.

Now, years later, he stood under the warm glow of the lights of the alley in Eckgasse and housed his opening shell at the country organizer.

It was the first footprint of his Max Strus Family Foundation, which was launched in Cleveland in early January.

A beginning in the laughter of his CAVS teammates, the clattering of the falling pens and the unspoken understanding that returning is more than a duty. It is a privilege.

The fans had the chance to mix with their favorite stars from the top team of the NBA, whereby all income benefits. But at night it was more than just the money.

It was about honoring where strus came from and hugging where he is now. It was about family – his own, the one he creates in Cleveland, and the strangers, who one day will call his foundation as a lifeline.

“This is my first step to help Cleveland in the area of Cleveland,” said Strus.
