The California lottery collects more than $ 2 billion for schools for schools in the 3. year, say officials, say officials

The California lottery officers announced on Monday that their games have collected over 2 billion US dollars for public education for the third time in a row.

“The total turnover exceeds 9 billion US dollars, which led to a contribution of more than 2.287 billion US dollars for public education programs nationwide, from kindergarten to community college, the California State University and the University of California Systems” 2023-24 Financial year.

The California lottery begins the 40th year after the games had been traded for the first time in 1985.

“I would like to thank our players, retail partners and employees for their decades of commitment to our mission,” said California lotteried director Harjinder K. Shergill Chima. “It is the commitment to providing additional funding for public education in California, which supports our work in the whole state and enables us to act for all of California year after year.”

The funds are largely at their own discretion among decision -makers of the school budget, but it should provide support for programs to which the students may not have access, said officials.
