Hardly more than a month of the season, and Felix Auger-Aliassife is a two-time champion for 2025.

The Canadian carried out a strict championship test by Aleksandar Kovacevic on Sunday to claim the trophy at the Open Occitany in Montpellier. Auger-Aliaside had two championship points slipped in the second set of Tie-Break, but held firmly for a 6-2, 6-7 (7), 7-6 (2) triumph.

“Sure, the craziest finale I played, whether I won or lost,” Auger-Aliasse said in his interview on the pitch. “It was a crazy match. I couldn’t have had a better start. I felt good, but loan to Aleks, he increased his level. I think it was a very high level at both ends and served well. This match deserved to go three sets with the way he played in the second. ”

Kovacevic started at his first finale at Tour-Level final and offered the third qualified to win an ATP touring title in three months (Denis Shapovalov in Belgrade, Benjamin Bonzi in Metz). After a difficult start, the 26-year-old American admired an admirable against Auger-Al.

In the crucial tie, Auger-Aliasside took control with a high-class all-court tennis. He switched effectively into the net and was exactly on a serve, and the Canadian achieved his victory with an ace far out before looking an emotional roar with his arms in the air.

With its Montpellier success, an AUGER-ALSESIME was seven-time ATP tour champion. Six of these titles have come inside, including one in the ABN Amro Open in Rotterdam, where he will compete next week.

Everything adds up

The difficult way to the victory of auger-aliasms seemed unlikely after he dominated the opening set of the Sunday final. The Canadian Canadian player scored five games in a row of 1 to 2 to take the top before both players choose a break in a second set on the server.

In the tie-break, Auger-Aliasside held twice at 6/5 championship points and behind his own surcharge at 7/6, but an increasingly self-confident Kovacevic stumbled three consecutive points to take part in the match.

The third sentence was in a similar way, although Kovacevic deserved a break point before his opponent thought for 6-5 surcharge. With this opportunity for the American, he could not refuse to earn a quick revenge to earn the title.

Although Kovacevic falls shortly before the trophy lifts, he can think about a dream week in Montpellier, in which he achieved five of his six profits in qualifying and the main draw in straight sets. He will be rewarded for his last run on Monday when he is to climb 27 places to a career height No. 75 in the PIF ATP ranking.
