The Boston Red Sox made some movements this off -season, but they could not yet be made. They were on the Free Agent -Infield Alex Bregman, but Jeff Passan from ESPN no longer sees them as a probable candidate.

Chris Landers from Fansmede recently predicted that the Red Sox could acquire the outfield of Los Angeles Angels, Taylor Ward, in an underestimated step if they missed Bregman.

“Perhaps this would not win the news cycle, and the acquisition of an outfield would not fill the current hole at the second basis,” wrote Landers. “But if Boston wants to keep this seat for Kristian Campbell (perhaps supplemented by another veteran like Jorge Polanco) while adding another real bat, they could make much worse.

“Ward has been often derailed by injuries with the Los Angeles Angels in the last seasons. If he is right, he is a very solid all-round strike man, someone who strikes on average, on the base and deliver 20-25 for a year – Maybe more with 81 home games in Fenway Park.

The angels did everything to make the team to success this winter. Last season they held up to the players they could have acted, including Ward, while they were worth their highest.

If the angels have decided to keep ward last season, they would probably want to keep it this winter, unless the Red Sox are ready to blow Los Angeles from the water.
