Massive development in the 24-hour petrol station in Limerick

The operators of a petrol station in the city of the city have asked a Bo -Planala to decide whether the facility remains open all night.

The planners of Limerick City and County Council decided that the Kreis K in the Ennis Road in Caherdavin should not operate between midnight and 7 a.m.

They have cited concerns about an overlay, the effects on the quality of life of locals as well as the noise and volume of traffic.

ARD Services, which operates the Irish Outlets from Circle K, has now formally asked the national planning authority to intervene.

After a spokesman for Circle K has informed the Limerick leader that it would question the Limerick City and County Council’s decision.

In the meantime, Circle K has said that it will be retained its normal opening times that were around the clock so far.

In documents that were sent to a Pleánala board, representatives of Circle K pointed out that there is nothing in the local development plan that enables the local authority to restrict which hours of service stations work nearby.

“The appropriate claim of our customer is to maximize the commercial viability of the main use of this petrol station, which is its function as a convenience individual trade and fuel,” added the agents.

Four residents officially had objections to the initial planning application from ARD services to continue working 24 hours a day.

But three of these objections represented several people.

One person who did not want to be named said: “Our anxiety is through the roof. There is life and mental health here. If you don’t get a good night in your sleep, you are a sacred wreck. “

In his submission to a Planala board, Circle K said that it is ready to work with the residents.
