If you’re feeling festive after your Thanksgiving feast, the Future Farmers of America organization is preparing to host its first Christmas tree sale fundraiser and festival.

The event, sponsored by High Jack Ranch and North Fork Ranch, raises money for students like Mia Willson, Frazier Mountain High School FFA reporter.

“We will have Christmas trees and that is the main part. We will have independent vendors of our own students selling things. We’re going to have food, we’re going to have games,” Willson said. “It’s just going to be a fun time for everyone.”

The event also raises money for students like Juan Meza, an FFA reporter at El Tejon Middle School.

“It makes me want to help others and help the community and give back to the school,” Meza said.

“We work hard to support the farmers and ranchers of tomorrow” is the festival’s motto, as every sale benefits both the high school and middle school FFA programs.

23ABC neighborhood reporter Avery Elowitt asked, “What are you going to do with the money raised?”

Willson responded, “We will spend it on improving our AG area and improving student field trips and things like that.”

The weekend fundraiser begins Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and ends the following day. It starts with a pancake breakfast from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and ends with the event at 5 p.m.

There will be noble firs and Douglas firs for sale, wreaths, produce, music, games, a school-bred pig for auction, vendors and more.

“This is the first time this special event has taken place and we are really excited and hope it goes well so we can hold events like this in the future,” Willson said.

The FFA Christmas Tree Sale Fundraiser and Festival will be held November 30th and December 1st at North Fork Ranch.
