Health officers warn that several viruses meet Michigan

The three respiratory virus and Norovirus, a gastrointestinal virus, are the “main actors in our winter virus Pantheon,” said Dr. Thomas Russo, who heads the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of the Buffalo School of Medicine. RSV or breathing syncytial virus is a breath virus that, according to Mayo Clinic, infects the lungs and respiratory tract. The virus often infects children under the age of two with a higher risk of infants, older adults, children or adults with weakened immune systems, children and adults with certain heart or lung diseases and others.

Here are some common symptoms of RSV:

Dry cough
Overloaded or running nose
Sneeze
