Game Preview: Colorado Avalanche is said to be strongly before reading against Edmonton Oilers

The Colorado Avalanche did what they had to do last night. After a disappointing effort in Vancouver, in which the AVS were hidden after two their own shutout appearances, Colorado stood back against the Calgary Flames in a large way.

On the shoulders of a three-point night of Martin Necas (2G, 1a), the AVS turned the flames with a score of 4-2 and created a certain separation between itself and Calgary. Colorado is now sitting 7 points in front of the flames, who are the first team on the outside of the Playoff picture of the Western Conference and can increase it to 9 with a victory over the oilers.

The AVS dropped their first two meetings with the Oilers in Edmonton this season. When these two teams met for the last time, Colorado blew a 3-0 lead in the first period and fell 4: 3 after he slowly fell away the lead in the last 48 minutes of the regulation. With this last game before the four nations are released, the AVS will try to end this part of the season strongly before repeating themselves for the home route.

Colorado avalanche

The AVS put together a solid effort last night and broken down the flames on the first part of the Alberta in a row. After a flat first period, in which the AVS saw in the box far too often, they survived the storm and stamped their seals in the last 40 minutes of the game. It is needed to a full 60 minutes to reduce the oilers on the back half of the back to the rear half.

Martin Necas continues to shine after the massive trade with Colorado. When he went out of a three -point evening with two goals, he continued to fit perfectly alongside Nathan Mackinnon. Last night he recorded eight goal height on the team and gave the power play after a brutal route before trade.

Mackinnon has also shot a new sheet since trade after gaining over 58% of his draw about this span. The Oilers are the last team in the NHL, to which you want to hand over the property. It is welcome tonight tonight.

Josh Manson will no longer play this evening because he will return after discharge. Scott Wedgewood is questionable to fit tonight and lets the goalkeeping situation in the second half of a back-to-back puzzle.

Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers were on a role in 2025. With a record of 12-4-1 since the calendar, Edmonton has been one of the strongest teams in the league this season. The Oilers, which are currently being led by the leading top scorer of the league in Leon Draisaitl (38), are just below the Washington Capitals and Winnipeg Jets as one of the top teams in the NHL, which are currently being led by the leading goal shooters of the league .

While Draisaitl has the puck with a higher rate than any other in the league in the league, he is also the closest competitor of Nathan Mackinnon in Art Ross race, which currently has two points behind the incumbent MVP with 81 points. Connor McDavid is currently in the NHL with 71 points in the NHL, since the Oilers duo enjoys another monster season together.

However, Edmonton not only blooms on the back of her superstar. Recently, all lines have been able to produce for the Oilers, since in the last 10 games all four strikers have contributed at least five goals in this period. The depth of the rating has so far been a problem for AVS in 2025, and you will probably have to find one or two destinations from your lower six lower six tonight.

Projected list:

Viktor Arvidsson (33) – Connor McDavid (97) – Zach Hyman (18)
Jeff Skinner (53) – Leon Draisaitl (29) – Vasily Podkolzin (92)
Mattias Janmark (13) -Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (93)-Connor Brown (28)
Corey Perry (90) – Adam Henrique (19) – Kasperi Kapanen (42)

Mattias Ekholm (14) – Evan Bouchard (2)
Darnell nurse (25) – John Klingberg (36)
Brett Kulak (27) – Ty Emberson (49)

Stuart Skinner (74)
Calvin Pickard (30)

goalkeeper

It was not a morning skate, so who will be in the goal for the avalanche will only be known when Puck fall. Mackenzie Blackwood played last night, but given the importance of this game and the upcoming discharge, he will probably be back on the net this evening. If Wedgewood cannot go, it would be difficult to see that Trent Miner fits in a game of this stature.

Stuart Skinner is around to protect the network for the Oilers. Skinner was not as good this season when he brought the Oilers back on the doorstep of the Stanley Cup Last Playoffs. Skinner, however, follows a similar season. After a dark start to the season, in which he had a percentage of 0.872 saved in October, his game gradually increased every month, and he closed January with a SV%of 0.921 SV. In total, it has a 2.68 GAA and a SV%of 0.902 SV with a record of 20-12-4.
