Is Alexander Mattison playing today? (Injury update, impact on betting for Raiders vs. C

Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.

Mattison missed the Raiders’ Week 12 game against the Denver Broncos due to an ankle ailment, and it appears he will make a real game decision on Friday.

Oddsmakers only released touchdown props for Mattison at any time in Week 13, although running back Zamir White was ruled out.

If Mattison can’t go, Ameer Abdullah, who played 90 percent of the Raiders’ snaps in Week 12, would be in line for the starring role.

Mattison has scored four points this season, but he hasn’t reached the end zone since Oct. 13.

Even if he plays, he’s a risky bet at that prop position, as Kansas City has given up just 3.6 yards per carry this season – the second-best mark in the NFL.

If Mattison sits, bettors should consider Abdullah to find the end zone for the second straight game.

Ameer Abdullah Anytime TD (+265)

Veteran running back Ameer Abdullah stepped in and played 90 percent of the Raiders’ offensive snaps against Denver last week.

He finished the game with eight carries for 28 yards and five catches (on six targets) for 37 yards and a score. Abdullah has now caught a touchdown in consecutive weeks and could get a lot of checkdowns from Ridder against a strong Kansas City defense.

He’s worth a shot at scoring if he’s back on the field for almost every snap for the Raiders in Week 13.
