In 2014, Vanzant stormed into the stage as a freshly facing 20-year-old with three consecutive victories against Kailin Curran, Felice Herrig and Alex Chambers.

However, she lost four of her next six fights with the leading campaign of MMA before deciding to be free agent alone.

Her decision to leave the UFC had no influence on her relationship with the promotion or company President Dana White and was only motivated by money.

Vanzant now earns 400,000 US dollars per fight with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) -ten times more than she was in her original UFC contract (40,000 US dollars, around $ 40,000 in the profit bonus).

In the meantime, she also counts in Mega Bucks for Power Slap, which belongs from White.

Several former UFC stars have described White as a cold character.

Until recently, the former title of World Heritage Challenger Darren described his former boss as a “cut-throat” during an interview with talk sport.

But PVZ only had good things to say about the MMA mogul when she asked Varney the same question from Talksports.

“I love Dana. I’ve always had an incredible relationship with him,” she said at a press event by Super Bowl Game Week in New Orleans to Talksport MMA.

“Even if I decided to leave the UFC as Free Agent. I think he has a very good understanding of what business is.

“And we have to look after ourselves, a business is a business.

“I left the UFC, but obviously I came back to get power slap.

“When I went, I had no sick will to the UFC. He supported me all my career and we talked that I went to BKFC and fought in boxing.

“He supported me in my entire career and I am really happy to be back under the UFC roof and make power slap again.

“And for me I think he is a real businessman and there is a reason why the UFC is as big as it is and it is one of these great driving forces.”

Since Vanzant left the UFC, he has become 0: 2 in BKFC and 1-0-1 in Powerslap, while in May she also pulled Elle Brooke Elle Brooke when she tried boxing.

However, she has not been in her main sport, MMA, for over five years.

However, that will change in 2025. Vanzant signs for the newly founded MMA advertising -outfit Global Fight League (GFL).

Vanzant explained her decision to join the GFL and added: “I have itching to get back to MMA.

“I had the feeling that it would take the right promotion to take me back again, and here is the GFL.

“They knocked on the door, they gave me their initial sales talk and I was thrilled.

“They change the game for MMA fighters. They really create an NFL season, but for the fighters.

Paige Vanzant calls MMA with a new promotion ‘perfect opportunity’ after almost five years since the last UFC fight

“In addition, like MMA fighter, we are more cared for by MMA fighter, we receive a sales share, we receive insurance.

“It will be completely different. We say we are hurt, we can still capitalize and get income from the company with which we are signed.”

The GFL will start in 2025 and contain six teams from four continents, whereby the venues are booked in 10 cities worldwide.

Each team consists of 20 fighters in ten weight classes.

Several former UFC stars, including Tyron Woodley, Fabricio Werdum, Anthony Pettis, Luke Rockhold and Alexander Gustafsson, have signed for the campaign.
