*This is an opinion piece about how I see things happening with Jalen Milroe.

Every Iron Bowl is significant because being state champions means something, but Saturday’s match looks a little different.

Auburn is trying to leave Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium with bowl eligibility, bragging rights as state champions, winning over recruits and wresting Alabama’s last College Football Playoff hopes. The Crimson Tide is trying to deny the Tigers bowl eligibility, become state champions and hope to wreak havoc to make the 12-team playoffs.

Former Alabama athletics director and player Bill Battle has died at 82

This year’s Iron Bowl raises another interesting thought. Will this be Jalen Milroe’s last game at Alabama?

Milroe, a native of Katy, Texas, is eligible for the NFL Draft as a redshirt junior.
