Philadelphia public schools for Eagles Super Bowl Parade closed

PHILADELPHIA – – Friday will be an unforgettable moment in the history of Philly Sports, and schools in the area ensure that their students and employees become part of the campaign!

What we know:

The Eagles Super Bowl Parade is set for Friday, begins in the Complex stage in South Philly and culminates in the stages of the art museum.

On Monday, the Gloucester City school announced that all public schools will be closed on Friday for the big celebration.

“We recognize the importance of this historical event and understand that many in our community want to take part in the celebrations. Enjoy the celebrations, stay safe and fly Eagles, fly!”

The school district of South Jersey was the first to close his local schools for the parade.

Will the schools in Philadelphia close?

Superintendent Tony B. Watlington announced that all public schools and administrative offices in Philadelphia will be closed on Friday together with the Constance E. Clayton Education Center.

“We look forward to celebrating the victory of the eagle as a community and we hope that our students, employees and families will do this safely and responsibly,” said Watlington.

The Archdiocesan -High Schools and parish schools throughout Philadelphia will also be closed on Friday, February 14th.

Planned closures

Some other districts in the region were already closed on Friday due to non -related events, including Lower Merion and Central Bucks.

Mayor Cherelle Parker will publish more details about the parade, including the time and its route, during a press conference on Tuesday morning.
