Amazon apologizes to Mandy Moore after the package of ruins of the California house was delivered by in -law

Amazon apologized on Wednesday after the actor Mandy Moore had posted anger that a delivery driver left a package with her parents -in -law, which was destroyed in the fires of the Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, Moore posted a picture of a single box in front of a bunch of debris that was her husband’s house. The photo was posted in Moores Instagram stories, with a caption Amazon told that they “do better”.

“Can we have no better discretion than to leave a package in a residence that no longer exists?” She wrote.

In an explanation, a spokesman for Amazon said that the company Moore had turned to Moore on social media to apologize and ask for further information to examine the incident.

“Those who deliver in our name were recommended in areas that are affected by forest fires – especially when it comes to delivering a damaged house – which clearly did not happen here,” said spokesman Steve Kelly .

Moore’s mother and father-in-law are among the thousands that were sold by Palisades and Eaton fires of the last month in Southern California. It took more than three weeks to contain both fires completely and to take firefighters when they also fought for a number of smaller fires that broke out in the area.

The fires of Eaton and Palisades were by far the largest of the flames, together at least 29 people and either harmful or destroyed more than 18,000 structures.

Moore and her husband Taylor Goldsmith safely evacuated with their three children and pets in the middle of the night before the fire reached their Altadena house.

In contributions on Instagram, Moore shared details and photos of the considerable damage to their property. The studio, the Goldsmith, a musician, used together with his instruments as well as the back house and the couple’s garage.

Moore said in a post office that the structure of her house was still in terms of “total loss”. She wrote that she was grateful to have the house, even if her definition of a house is “in the flow”.

“This place, our home and the city itself, was our dream and I hope that it will feel that way over time … only a slightly different one,” wrote Moore.

Goldsmith’s brother, who appears with him in the band Dawes, lost his home in Altadena. The band played a set at The Grammy’s this month and led a group of musicians in a cover by Randy Newman’s “I Love La” to open the show.
