Unrest Maine newspaper chain, which is now run by a breakfast cook – no egg yolk!

If you think it is difficult to convert Maine from Maine, try it as you also turn two eggs around with a order of the toast.

This is the emergency of Stefanie Manning, which was taken over a few weeks ago as a top manager of the Portland Press Herald after the resignation of the CEO of the newspaper and who also has a part -time job that has a breakfast dinner

Manning takes over the management, even if the paper suffers a flood of resignation of managers as well as employees and budget cuts.

No worries.

The mainstream media, also known as the Boston Globe, have just led a soufflΓ©-like quote from Manning as part of his play, which speculated about layoffs.

“We cannot say that there will be personnel effects in the near future, but we cannot rule out that difficult decisions will be necessary to bring us to sustainability,” Manning The Short-Order Cook was cited.

But even when she warned the reporting personnel in front of the prospects for the newspaper, she earned a second income in which Miss Portland Diner with her husband only has blocks from the newspaper.

Talk about a messed chaos …

Manning, a long -time manager for newspaper advertising, was promoted to the “managing director” when Lisa Desisto suddenly resigned as CEO of the Maine Trust for local news in December.

In addition to running the diner, Manning has also been the staff chamber for the state’s largest newspaper chain for several years.

How do you lead a newspaper while trying to juggle breakfast orders?

Apparently it is not easy to judge according to the state of things in Portland’s newspaper chain that the “non -profit” trust was bought in 2023.

A few days ago, the Poynter Institute reported that the National Trust for Local News had started a “Community Journalism” experiment in Maine, which was apparently rancid.

But when the founder of the National Trust, the parents of the Maine Group, had unexpectedly resigned in the past month, the responsibility of the woman who hurled Hash in Miss Portland Diner was all the greater.

Manning prominently reports about her own LinkedIn profile that in 2008 she bought the Worcester Diner Car, a long -standing breakfast shortage in the Maine in Main’s largest city.

“If you haven’t tried our Corned Beeef-Hash, you don’t know what you miss,” says Manning proudly on your profile.

I can’t invent it, people.

Apart from a high -quality corned beef -Hash (sorry, manning could not resist), Manning tries to find out how the flagship of the Daily Havoat trust is kept while handling breakfast orders.

In the past few weeks, five executives of the top level have left the paper, including Desisto, co-founder of National Trust, Elizabeth Hansen Shapiro, editor-in-chief Steve Greenlee, Managing Editor Nita Lelyveld and Jody Jalbert, the publisher of the Lewiston Sun Journal.

Although Manning contains a description of the Miss Portland Diner in her LinkedIn page, her husband Tom does not mention on the restaurant’s website about her participation in the management of the restaurant, which apparently bought together.

When Manning served as a marketing director of the Press Herald Marketing 10 years ago, the paper was a glowing review of the diner, which she has together.

“You won’t find much that is innovative or modern in the Miss Portland Diner, but that’s the jumping point” Enjoy it. ”

𝘞𝘩𝘰’𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘡? 𝘞𝘩𝘒π˜₯π˜₯𝘺𝘒 𝘺𝘒 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘒 𝘩𝘒𝘷𝘦?

Apparently there is no big appetite for nostalgia among the concerned newspaper employees who have recently received a scary forecast of Manning about the future of paper

The Miss Portland Diner menu says that the “Signature -Hash” of Manning is equipped with “two eggs in their way and the selection of the toast”. ($ 15.25).

If you only prefer the hash without eggs and toast, switch on 8.25 US dollars. The dessert menu now contains a “two-s sundae with a sauce, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry” for $ 7.75.

Now 𝘡𝘩𝘒𝘡’𝘴 a ball.
