Houston, Texas (KTRK) – According to the Houston police department, relatives mourn the loss of a 21-year-old who was shot early Sunday morning during an obvious disorder in Midtown in early Sunday morning.

Around 1 a.m. the officials reacted to the 2300 block of the Bagby Street. When they arrived, a large group was convened that surrounded a victim with a gunshot wound on the arm.

Another victim was shot in the upper body and declared dead at the crime scene. The first victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, said HPD.

The family of the late victim identified him as 21-year-old Julian Comeaux.

The police said that there was a suspect that broke into cars near the intersection of Bagby and Hadley before being approached by Comeux and his friends when a fight broke out.

According to reports, the suspect reported a gun and shot both Comeaux and his friend before fled out of the scene. The police described the suspect as a black man with his hair in Dreadlocks with golden tips. He was last seen with a black hoodie and allegedly left a shoe at the scene.

According to the victim’s friends, Comeaux left the navy next Friday and was never in trouble.
