How soon the next snowstorm is approaching with cold air in the Central Pa.

Saturday brought snow and ice in central Pennylvania, which turned into Slush when the temperatures rose and turned the wintry mixture into rain.

The area received a mixture of precipitation on Sunday, with the temperatures rising to 50 degrees before severe showers signaled the arrival of a cold front.

My middle event was almost cold again, and the temperatures almost icy and gusty winds increased the cold.

A strong wind warning will be valid on Monday until 4 p.m. in a very central Pennsylvania for winds 20 to 30 miles per hour, which may be over 60 miles per hour.

As soon as they die, it looks like there is another series of cold weeks, which offers the chance of snow until the middle of the week.

How much depends on which weather service you follow.

Some, including the NWS, predict a minor chance of snow on Wednesday afternoon and snow showers from Wednesday evening to Thursday for Central PA.

Accuweather is more detailed in a long story about what it calls the final in a series of storms on coast to coast. That could bring 6 to 12 inches from Richmond, Virginia to Washington, DC, it said in history.

Southern Pa. Would be on the northern edge, where 1 to 3 inches could fall on Wednesday to Thursday, the storm route staying closer to the coast than the forecast.

Beyond this storm, it will be a cold and otherwise dry week after the winds died, with temperatures near or just above the freezing of the week and over 40 over the weekend at around 40 p.m.

According to NWS, the next seven days are looking to Harrisburg and the surrounding area:

Presidential Day: mostly sunny, winds 20 to 30 miles per hour and gust, high 32

Tuesday: Sunny, High 27, still airy

Wednesday: Minor snow chance after 1 p.m., High 27, with snow showers overnight

Thursday: cloudy, chance of snow showers in the morning, high 28

Friday: Sunny, High 37

Saturday: Sunny, High 38

Sunday, sunny, high 42
