5 things to do in Monmouth County this weekend

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ – The holiday season has officially begun.

Since December begins on Sunday, there are plenty of holiday activities around Monmouth County.

Here are five things happening this weekend:

Old-fashioned Christmas on the farm and walk-through light show
Until December 29th, you can visit Allaire Community Farm to experience their Christmas village and light show. Visitors can visit indoor and outdoor petting zoos, take photos with Santa at the museum, see holiday displays and more.

Opening hours are Thursday to Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m

Magic of lights
You can view the “Magic of Lights” exhibit at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel through January 4th. The exhibition is open Sunday to Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Historic Cider at Historic Longstreet Farm
On Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., you can sample hot mulled wine at Historic Longstreet Farm.

Hot mulled wine is a traditional fall and holiday drink and is typically made with wine or dry apple cider, various spices (cinnamon, cloves, or nutmeg), and a little sugar or sweet juice.

Breakfast with Santa Claus
Santa Claus is coming to the American Hotel on Sunday. At the event, attendees can take photos and selfies with Santa and enjoy breakfast and lunch specials.

Multicultural day in Marlboro
You can attend Marlboro Multicultural Day at Marlboro High School on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Attendees can enjoy food, performances, crafts, cultural performances and more at the free event.
