Evansville Local rarely pulls, signed Babe Ruth baseball card

Evansville, Ind. (Wfie)-A local 12-year-old Evansville pulled a signed Babe baseball card with his grandfather with a signed Babe baseball card at the beginning of this week.

Keegan says he opened baseball cards with his grandfather Bob Kenning on Monday when they pulled the rare card.

“It was the President’s day, we had nothing better to do. Keegan calls me and says: ‘Hey Pawpaw, why don’t we go to hobby that? “, Says Bob.

Bob says in his youth that cards were only added to the block for journeys.

“Many of my cards ran in my bike spokes to make my bike sound better,” he says.

For Keegan, he says they are a collector’s item.

“I would say I have almost ten thousand cards,” says Keegan.

David Nguyen, owner of the hobby, said he was stunned that the two find the card.

“Babe Ruth signatures are generally not common,” says Nguyen. “Just see something like this, that’s what the hobby is about.”

Bob and his grandson say it is a moment that they will never forget.

Keegan says, although the card could be worth a lot of money, he will not sell it.
