Chapel Hill, NC–RJ Davis scored 21 points, Seth Davis added 15 at 6-of-9 shooting, and North Carolina never left behind on Wednesday evening when the Tar Heels defeated the Rival NC State 97-73 in the state .

Ven-Allen Lubin scored 13 points and Ian Jackson 12 for North Carolina (16-11, 9-6 ACC).

North Carolina will play hosts in Virginia on Saturday. NC State also plays on Saturday when Wake visits.
