Kansas includes the mentality of the new season before the game of Oklahoma State

The teams often go through various mental returns in the course of a season, usually at the beginning of the conference game and March Madness. However, Bill Self said that Kansas, before his Matchup against Oklahoma State, comprised a 0-0 record before his game on February 22nd, and remain five games in the regular season.

The reset follows a two-game skid in Utah, in which the Jayhawks experienced the worst defeat in Bill Self-era against byu. The regular season as a whole was up-and-t through one another, so it thinks that it is best when his team got past it.

“This is my point for our team,” said Self. “It’s how, okay, you want to hold on to something that we don’t have, try to protect a record of eight and seven league? Is that really what this place is about? “

Self believes that this change in the mentality of Kansa can make its best basketball playing, although March quickly approaches.

“I think that’s actually something that swings with me,” said Self. “Because we end strongly in these last five games, we have been able to have the dynamics in the Big 12 tournament and when we play well, the Nach season tournament.”

Self spoke a lot about the mental side of this year’s team, with inconsistent energy being the focus. He believes that the Jayhawks have the chance to play with fresh heads that go on the last route of the regular season.

“I think I like our chances if we can actually have fresh heads and a fresh start,” said Self.

The first test of the “new season” by Jayhawks will be a home game with Oklahoma State. The cowboys were largely inconsistent under the head coach of the first year, Steve Lutz, but they come to Lawrence after a performance of 100 points after a performance of 100 points. Self Self Oklahoma State “Probably quickly and as sporty and as quickly as we played all year round.”

“I know Steve wants to shoot the ball quickly and he wants to press and they will play the line and they will force you to play games,” said Self. “There are many things that make you very, very, very good.”

Former Jayhawk Bryce Thompson leads the cowboys with 12.1 points per game. Oklahoma State achieves the best of every Big 12 team with a free-wing line of 42.5.

“Obviously we have to appear and be ready, but they have a really nice team,” said Self. “They score so many points, Dave, from the free -wire line.”
