Juan Soto Slams 426-Fuß-HR in the 1st AT-BAT as Mets Top Astros

Port st. Lucie, Fla. – Juan Soto wasted little time to show his power for his new team. Again.

Soto scored in his first spring training for the New York Mets and met a solo shot on the left field in the first inning against Houston on Saturday. The Mets won 6: 2.

“I have the feeling that everyone was really happy. I would say that the worst reaction was (team -mate) Jesse Winker that I stepped him,” said Soto. “He was really in pain, but he was happy at the same time.”

Soto scored last year in his first spring training game with the New York Yankees and showed a three-run shot in the fourth inning of this matchup with Toronto.

Soto signed a record of 15 years, $ 765 million in this low season, and moved from the Yankees to Mets through New York. He scored second place between Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso on Saturday and drilled a 426-foot home in a 2-1 place from the left-hander Colton Gordon. In the next inning, Soto drove another run with a floor ball. That was his only plate appearances.

He increased his career spring training on an average of 0.304 with 14 homes and an operating room of 1.017 in 87 games.

The METS could possibly be encouraged even more by the performance of starter Clay Holmes, another player who moved from one New York team to another. Holmes started only four of his 311 Big League appearances, but he turns into a starter for the Mets and threw 34 parking spaces in three perfect Inning.

Holmes struck three.
