Trump names Podcaster as deputy FBI director

US President Donald Trump has appointed the podcaster and commentator Dan Bongino as deputy director of the FBI.

Trump posted on social media that Bongino was “a man with incredible love and passion for our country” and would serve under the newly confirmed FBI director Kash Patel.

The 50 -year -old Bongino worked for the New York police department and the secret service – as well as for two presidents, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, part of the protection detail.

His appointment, which does not require confirmation from the Senate, means that neither of the two best people who lead the agency has an FBI experience.

The deputy director, who is responsible for monitoring all domestic and international operations, is usually a career representative with years of experience.

He organizes the daily podcast of the Dan Bongino show, whose Facebook posts often attract more attention than that of FOX News and CNN.

In the episode on Friday there was a segment of the FBI, in which he praised Patel and tried to eliminate democratic fears that the agency was used to address Trump’s enemies.

“Kash Patel is there for one reason, he is there to make the FBI great again,” he said.

He committed himself to combating crimes and, only, he added and called his new boss the “change agent” that the FBI needs.

“How amazing would it be in four years to look back with a good, high -quality, reformed FBI, the free of culture and dei, which makes a headline, great arrests of real evil who destroy their community. How good would that be?”

Trump said in his social media announcement on Sunday that Bongino would give up the podcast, and added that he would help restore fairness, justice, law and order.

Bongino, who ran three times for the congress, was in his podcast in his podcast before the elections of last year.

The episodes of his program from last week include titles such as “Trump delivers and the LIBS bubble” and “The only people who love crimes are criminals !!!”

Bongino spoke about his career as a productive conservative political commentator and said in 2018: “In my life, it is now about having the LIBs now.”

With a combative person, he can often fire back on Trump’s critics on X, including a long -term spit with horror author Stephen King.

Patel was briefly confirmed last week by the Senate of leading the law enforcement authority, which he has attacked for a long time.

He denied all the plans to pursue political Vendendas and has promised to rebuild the office.

The FBI has 38,000 employees and a budget of more than $ 11 billion.
