Cubs VS Rangers (2:05 CT) – lineups, Broadcast -Info, Games Thread

Cubs against Rangers – So far, the Cubs are unbeaten in three spring training competitions and have a list with five opening starters.

Chicago Cubs Lineup:

  1. Ian Happ, LF
  2. Kyle Tucker, ie
  3. Seiya Suzuki, RF
  4. Dansby Swanson, SS
  5. Pete Crow-Armstrong, see
  6. Vidal Brujan, 2b
  7. Jonathan Long, 1b
  8. Carlos Perez, C
  9. BJ Murray Jr., 3b

In fact, you should expect the top three of these Cubs lists on the opening day (and for most of the season, God will). I think Michael Busch, who does not play today, will probably be cleaned up, with Dansby Swanson to fifth place, possibly followed by Nico Hoerner. And so it should probably work until one of Pete Crow-Armstrong or Matt Shaw shows that they can do justice to their offensive skills.

But in the course of the season I would not be surprised if one of these young people closes closer to the middle of the order than the ground.

Vidal Brujan is sure to get a lot of run. Today he is back on the second basis, but he also appeared in midfield against the Dodgers.

The biggest news of the day is of course our first look at Kyle Tucker!

The big addition to the Cubs is slowly playing his spring training, as Craig said Consell that he is now entering his first action as DH. I am very excited to switch on his first (un) official bats as young animals.

Texas Rangers listing:

  1. Marcus Semien, 2b
  2. Corey Setager, SS
  3. Jake Burger, ie
  4. Jace Jung, 3b
  5. Tucker Barnhart, C
  6. Sam Haggerty, LF
  7. Ezequiel Duran, 1b
  8. Leody Taveras, see
  9. Alejandro Osuna, RF

Pitching Matchup: Cubs VS Rangers

Chicago Cubs: Colin Rea, RHP

Today earlier, Brett discussed the planned start of Colin Rea, and I think it has summarized it more concise:

The Cubs will send Colin Rea today for his first start of spring, and I think it is certain that it is always stretched out as a starter in the warehouse, regardless of the rest of the rotation. Not only in recent years he started the feeling that the Cubs will do some non-traditional things with their rotation group this year. I don’t say exactly a Six man, and I don’t say exactly that it will be piggy packs, but something. And something that could be supported in the first week of the season if six boys are completely stretched out.

However, Rea nominally competes with Jordan Wicks and Ben Brown (and Brad Keller?) To the 5th starter job while Javier Assad is outside.

Texas Rangers: Cody Bradford, LHP
