Laker’s’ JJ Redick says Luka Doncic will be “okay”, from which Mavericks looks: “I’m there”

Luka Dončić will compete in his career for the first time on Tuesday when his Los Angeles Lakers organize the Dallas Mavericks in a eagerly awaited showdown, and at least he can contact his head coach to get advice.

After all, JJ Redick turned it upside down for six different teams and is no stranger to go against a former club.

“I think it will be fine,” said Redick about Dončić, according to Jovan Buhha from The Athletic. “Every day he was with us, it gets a little more. I was there. The first time you play your old team, especially during the time, it will be strange. But it will be fine.”

While Redick can refer, there are still some obvious differences.

The Lakers trainer was more of a role player for a large part of his career and was never the focus of attention. For comparison: Dončić was the face of the franchise for the Mavericks and well on the way to becoming a Dallas icon before the team shocked it at the beginning of this month.

But the game on Tuesday is in Los Angeles. It will be the trip of the Lakers to Dallas on April 9, which is really noticeable, since Mavericks fans will have the opportunity to bring it back with open arms and warm cheers.

You will surely do it if your reaction to the trade was an indication of it because the front office that was moving Dončić triggered protests and “Feuer Nico” stand against General Manager Nico Harrison.

This return trip to Dallas threatens, but Dončić will still be the center of the basketball universe on Tuesday when he accepts his former team.
