Michelle Trachtenburg’s cause and the type of death were officially released.

The Chief Medical Examiner office in New York City, where Trachtenberg was found dead in the early Wednesday, decided both the cause and the type of death as indefinite, as was shared by an explanation that was shared with USA today on Thursday.

It can mean indefinitely that there was either insufficient information to assess how a person died or that the information was contradictory, with the same amounts supported or negated a certain “type of death” such as suicide, murder or accident.

Trachtenberg’s family rejected an autopsy, and the medical examiner’s office honored this request, CNN and ABC News Report.

USA TODAY has turned to a comment on Trachtenberg’s representative.

Trachtenberg was found unconsciously and reacting on Wednesday and determined by EMS officials. The NYPD said that no criminal participation is suspected and that the examination has not yet been completed.

Gary Mantoosh, a representative of Trachtenberg, confirmed her death “with great sadness” in a statement to USA Today on Wednesday. “The family calls privacy for their loss. There are currently no further details.”

The film contributed to increasing its already growing fame, which began for the first time with a recurring role in “Buffy” as a sister of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s title character.

Later she became a fan favorite and played Georgina Sparks in the CW series “Gossip Girl” alongside Leighton Meester, Blake Live, Kelly Rutherford, Ed Westwick, Taylor Momsen, Chaace Crawford and Penn Badgley.

“The world has lost a deeply sensitive and good person in Michelle,” she continued. “May her work and her huge heart remember who were lucky enough to experience their fire.”

Rosie O’Donnell, who played with Trachtenberg in “Harriet the Spy”, one of the greatest early successes by the actress, told Us Weekly that her death was “heartbreaking”.
