The basketball team for women in UC Riverside stopped

The Rainbow Wahine (20-7, 14-3 Big West) released a lead of 11 points in the first quarter, but the host Highlanders (14-14, 10-8) turned the dynamics in the second and took control in the fourth in order to win a home win against UH in the second time.

Um forward Imani Perez Beat four 3-point career height and ended with 12 points with a team height. The junior also connected her career as the best with four templates and fit her season high with three blocked shots.

Lily Wahinekapu Add 10 points and got seven rebounds and a team high and got it Kelsie imai Has contributed nine points and four boards.

Hannah Wickstrom led the UC Riverside with a game of 18 points on 7-against-11 shooting from the field, including two 3 counters. Shelley Duchemin added 14 points and had five of the 10 Highlanders steals.

After a slow start, ucr shot 52.2% from the field in the second to finish at 42.6% for the game and went 4 for 7 from 3-point range in the forth quarter. Uh started the game in the first quarter with 64.3% and then cooled down to 39.6%.

The arches ran to a 9-0 lead to arrange for an early UCR break. Uh went off the field in the first 10 minutes 9 for 14, with Perez hit her two 3-point attempts and took 20: 9 to the second tour.

UCR opened the second quarter with an 8-0 run and later took their first tour with 26-24 when Maya Chocano scored a 3 pointer. Imai replied with a drive shot out of the glass and the teams went half-time with 26: 26.

Uh took the lead with 33: 28 with a little more than six minutes in the third quarter when Perez scored her third 3 pointer. But Wickstrom scored seven points in an 11: 3 run and hit a 3 pointer to drive the Highlanders 39: 36.

Mia ‘uhila Connected by large reach for UH, but wind power made it a 3-counter start from a distance in the quarter. UCR led by up to 13 on the way to victory.
