ABC News Docuseries Sparks New investigations, new information in Fox Hollow Murders

Westfield – There are new developments in the case of the accused serial killer Herb Baumeister.

Baumeister lived on an 18 hectare property in Westfield named Fox Hollow Farm. Since the 1990s, the investigators have found the remains of nine identified murder victims, mainly gay men, on the property.

Investigators believe that in the mid -80s and 90s years of at least 25 people victims of the victims of builders who said the police lured gay men to his house in Fox Hollow Farms and killed them.

The police found 10,000 bone fragments and bones that are scattered over the farm, which means that there are more victims.

Now the new Docuseries from ABC News Studios, The Fox Hollow Murders: Playground of a serial killer, leads to new tips.

“It was a field of killing,” said forensic doctor Jeff Jellison.

WRTV sat down with the Coroner of the Hamilton County to hear what he hopes that this new exposure could mean for the future of the case.

Jellison said since the Dokios of the ABC News Studios was broadcast for the first time, he had received more than 500 new calls and tips on the case. He reacts to everyone.

“Many have turned to family members of a missing person who would like to give DNA swabs. Many complement our investigations, but also have questions,” said Jellison.

It has led years without answers for families like Debbie Fall.

“The unknown is really terrible. I mean, it’s torture,” said Fall.

Remains found on the farm were identified as belonging to her brother Richie Hamilton.

“We only had a few bone fragments and some teeth,” said Falls.

The remains found throughout the accommodation were placed on a shelf and forgotten until Jellison’s office visited the case almost 30 years later.

“There was a lot of hard work to identify these remains. We still have a lot of time to work on it,” said Jellison.

The current owner of the property, Robert Graves, spoke about new details of the crimes that were also uncovered.

ABC News Studios spoke to Mark Goodyear, the man who is seen as the sole survivor by Baumeister after reporting him to law enforcement.

“This is our pool room, here Mark said that most of them were probably killed. The pool he used as a bait to get the boys here,” said Graves.

Jellison said he is in the planning phase of a potential new excavation of property.

He is also about to announce a new identification of a victim that has just come back from genetic genealogy.

“This person was not reported as missing, and not anyone on our radar or suspected was a victim there,” said Jellison.

“Hopefully this brings the victim’s families to light to give a DNA test to try to identify these boys,” said Graves.

The forensic doctor said he had two goals for the documentation:

  1. So that the victim’s families can share their stories as a way of healing
  2. To draw attention to the case because there are still remains that have not been identified

He believes that the case did not attract nationwide attention because there was no evil who went into the courtroom. Nobody was ever charged in that case.

Jellison asks everyone who missed a loved one to call his office.

“If you are a family member of a missing person, please call me. It doesn’t have to be associated with the case of Fox Hollow,” he said.
