The Serbian guard shows that he thought it could be traded on the raptors

According to reports, the Toronto Raptors employed business with the Atlanta Hawks for Bogdan Bogdanović before the NBA trade period at the beginning of this month.

In a recent interview with the Serbian Outlet RTS, Bogdanović admitted that there was a way to land in Toronto. However, it remains unclear how serious the discussions were or what parts the raptors have to separate in order to acquire the 32-year-old guard.

If Toronto had completed a deal for Bogdanović, it would probably have removed any realistic persecution of Brandon Ingram in New Orleans Pelicans. The veteran Sharpshooter is under contract with a total of 32 million US dollars for two more seasons, and its salary would probably have divided the raptors into the luxury tax next season, since the contract extension, the Toronto approved with Ingram, agrees.

Bogdanović also revealed that New Orleans had been a potential landing site in the mix. According to Jake Fischer from the stone, the Hawk’s trade talks with the pelicans, in which Ingram was involved in a deal that probably would have included Center Clint Capela.

Instead, the Los Angeles Clipperers entered and concluded a contract to acquire Bogdanović and sent Hyland, Terance Mann and three second round to Atlanta in the exchange of bones.

Bogdanović endures the worst statistical season of his career and achieves average only 10.2 points per game, while he shoots a career low of 38% from the field and disappointing 30.1% from the three-point range.

In view of the financial flexibility of Toronto in the deadline, the Raptors Bogdanović would have probably acquired without separating from their nuclear players.
