How to prevent others from posting your children’s photos on social media

Most people mean well, but they may not realize how risky it is to share children's photos online, especially if they are not parents themselves.

A 27-year-old student was just caught using images of real children online to use artificial intelligence to create child porn for pedophiles. Even more disgusting? He worked on demand. This story gave me goosebumps and brings me to a question I’m asked more and more often:

“Kim, I don’t want pictures of my children on social media. How can I tell friends and family not to post them without sounding preachy?”

Your children, your rules

You are absolutely right if you want to remove your children’s faces from the Internet. It’s a fact that scammers scan public accounts looking for children to exploit. Plus, it’s easier than ever for pedophiles to pretend to be a child on Snapchat, Roblox – whatever – and groom your child.
