American players do the story at the Atx Open after completing a Madison Keys record that she achieved eight years ago

American players continue to impress on the WTA tour after Madison Keys won the Australian Open.

KEYS defeated Aryna Sabalenka to win her first Grand Slam title at Australian Open after saving a match point in her semi-final victory over the IGA Swiade number two.

The American has not participated since then, but Keys is now a career rank in addition to two other American women in the top 5.

Due to her newly discovered status, Keys could not play the Atx Open because the top 10 players Jessica Pegula had already joined the tournament.

Pegula spoke about the absence of keys at the Atx Open, but she certainly made her to be the only top 10 player after reaching the final.

Jessica Pegula and McCartney Kessler make history in ATX Open

The Atx Open organizes its third edition on the WTA tour in 2025 and had never seen an American player in the Singles Finale.

However, the 2025 final will contain two American players after McCartney Kessler came to Pegula after her direct victory over Greet Minnen.

For many reasons, this finale is historical, emphasized by the fact that it has been the first finale between two American WTA players on home soil since 2017.

The last time Keys was involved when this happened after he lost to Sloane Stephens in the U.S. 2017 final.

Pegula and Kessler have never played each other, and the latter already won a title at The Hobart International this year.

The Singles final will not be Kessler’s only competition on the last day of the Atx Open 2025 after he had also reached the double final in addition to Shuai Zhang.

Emma Navarro reaches the final of the Merida Open

It was not only in Austin, Texas, where American women were successful, since Emma Navarro also arrives at the Merida Open final.

Navarro fought during the swing of the Middle East after winning only one of her three games.

However, world number 10 has changed its fortune, which includes Navarro, who hits the defending champion on the way to the Merida final.

This was followed by a straightforward victory over Elina Avanesyan in the semi-finals, with Navarro being only the second main WTA tour final of her career.

Navarro will play the qualification Emiliano Arango to win the biggest title of her career, and her place has already been confirmed in her previous career Best of World number eight.
