LSU Tigers Guard Flau’jae Johnson will miss the Sec tournament

The LSU -Wachmann Flau’jae Johnson will miss the SEC tournament, Tiger coach Kim Mulkey said on Sunday to the team’s radio station.

Johnson has been fighting against Texas since the defeat of the Tiger on February 16, Mulkey said. Johnson missed the final of the regular season against Ole Miss from LSU on Sunday, and now is the hope that she will be healthy enough to come back to the team at the beginning of the NCAA tournament.

“I know that she is trying to mask the pain in which she is located,” said Mulkey in the PREGAME radio broadcast. “It is not a stress fracture or the like. It is only calm. We will get this inflammation down and we will see the Flau’jae that we have to see when we start playoffs.”

The game that Johnson missed on Sunday was only the second competition she missed in her career.

This season, the Junior runs the LSU enough for the sixth average of 46.5 percent with 18.9 points per game-good.

In her last game, however, Johnson scored six points in the season and promoted Mulkey and her employees to get her some recovery time.

“I don’t think Flau’jae’s best basketball has happened in the past few weeks,” said Mulkey, “so let her rest. Why she breaks through?

The SEC tournament taps in Greenville, South Carolina on Wednesday.
