Who is close to an eGot? Here is a look at all winners and who could take part soon

Washington – Only 21 people in Hollywood have achieved an egot status, which makes performance one of the most difficult to present awards in the entertainment industry.

When the award events come and go, many are eager to see who will take part in the most renowned circle of entertainment.

At the Oscars ceremony on Sunday there is only one person shortly before the exclusive club.

Egot is the term used for a person who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award during their career. Some ego winners are Jennifer Hudson, Viola Davis, John Legend, Sir Elton John and Rita Moreno.

Cynthia Erivo is only an Oscar away from an eGot, and her nomination for “Wicked” could seal the deal.

If Erivo wins in “Wicked” for her representation of Elphaba on Sunday, she would also become the youngest person who ever ever – at only 38. The youngest person who achieves success is currently the songwriter Robert Lopez, who gained all four awards at the age of 39. He is also the only one who has a “double egosen”.

The ego quest of the “bad” actress started when she won a Tony Award for the best leading actress in “The Color Purple” on Broadway in 2016.

In 2017, Erivo won a Grammy for the best music theater album for the Broadway Cast recording of “The Color Purple” and then an Emmy for the best musical performance in a daily program -which she also won in addition to “The Color Purple” caste.

Erivo received “Harriet” shortly before the egous was secured in 2020. “Wicked”.

Before the Oscars 2025, the last time an eGot was reached, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who won an Emmy for a song in 2024, was written together for “only murders in the building”. To date, the duo has the fastest rise to an ego and reaches it in seven years and seven months after the first Egot Award victory.

The Creator of “Hamilton”, Lin-Manuel Miranda, still needs an Oscar to reach Egot status, but has no chance of joining the club this year. He was not nominated at the 97th Academy Awards for his songwriting in “Tell Me It You” by “Mufasa: The Lion King”.

While Miranda has three Tony Awards, Five Grammy Awards and two Emmy prices, he has only been shy since 2014.

Previously, he received Oscar nominations for songs in “Moana” and “Encanto”, but stayed behind the performance both times.
