2025 Women for March Madness Bracket -foreses for women, sowing and more

March has arrived, which means one thing: it is time for madness in women -college basketball.

The conference tournaments will soon begin when the teams jockey for the position in the NCAA tournament of women, from seeds No. 1 to Play-in spots. On Thursday, the NCAA released its top 16 seeds for the tournament.

Hours later lost No. 4 Notre Dame and No. 7 LSU against No. 24 Florida State and No. 20 Alabama. These two losses may have shook the brackets, with the fighting Irish in a lost struggle for a No. 1 seed and LSU probably slipping from a No. 2 seeds.

The biggest game of the weekend for the women’s team occurred on Saturday when USC No. 3 UCLA 80-67 defeated. The victory was probably the trohane as the number 1 of the overall winner of the tournament. Both teams joined the top 16 clip on Thursday as No. 1 seeds on Saturday. The Trojans ended the Sieep season series after defeating the Bruins 71-60 on February 13th.

Charlie Creme, ESPN: Major Shakeup after Top 16-Reveal

Creme writes: “Thursday was the second and last top 16 removal of the NCAA tournament committee. Just as with the first unveiling, the relevance of this one did not take long. Every seed line was affected, and 12 hours later the top 16 of the top 16 looked completely different. For a No. 2.”

Mark Schindler, The Athletic: Should South Carolina Uconn be ahead?

In his latest Bracketology, Schindler Ucla, Texas, USC and South Carolina had a number 1 seed. The Gamecocks are ahead of Uconn, although the huskies won the head-to-head victory on February 16. Notre Dame against Florida State on Thursday played a role at Schindlers, who shift the GameCocks to a No. 1 seeds:

“With the defeat of Notre Dame against Florida State and South Carolina against Ole Miss, I exchanged Notre Dame and South Carolina. Based on how the committee continues to reflect his values in his top -16 seeds, I would suspect that they would avoid it.”

When does the March Madness tournament for women start?

The brackets for the tournament will be announced on Sunday, March 16. Three days later, the tournament begins with the first four on Wednesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 20. The first round officially begins two days later, on Friday, March 21st and on Saturday, March 22nd.

The last four are played at the University of South Florida in the Amalie Arena in Tampa. The championship game is planned for April 6th.
