The New York Yankees are looking for their options to fill the emptiness. The organization has no schedule if Giancarlo Stanton could return to the team and the Yankees have to find an alternative.

While speculation about Jasson Domínguez, who may have taken over the DH, gave speculations, his game has not justified the opportunity.

Instead, the Yankees should bring back these 60 million dollar -Lugger to close the gap that is very familiar with playing in the Yankee Stadium.

Alex Verdugo had a bit of a down year – .233 average with 13 home runs and 61 RBI in 2024. With regard to the average of the impact, it was his second lowest in his career. However, Verdugo connected his career high in the home run department.

Bring Verdugo back to the Bronx would be a win-win situation for the Yankees. This is a team that Juan Soto never officially replaced and could benefit from a player who brings a little spark to the line -up. It would also enable the organization to turn it into the left field if the Yankees decide to roll the cubes with Domínguez.

Verdugo’s market value is currently 60 million US dollars over four years. With the almost early 2025 season, it is difficult to see that Verdugo receives a multi -year deal or even a one -year deal at this price.

The Yankees could probably get Verdugo for a one-year deal of $ 9 million. It would help the organization to fulfill a temporary need while giving Verdugo the opportunity to bet on himself before hitting a free agency again in 2026. Even if Stanton returns in a month, it doesn’t hurt the Yankees to have an additional deep piece.
